Enrique Gonzalez oversees strategic direction of IPVG Corp., a publicly listed company on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE Ticker Symbol: IP) engaged in the information technology and communications space. Set up to be one of the fastest growing companies in the Philippines, IPVG has executed against its plan and strengthened its position in the communications, online gaming, and BPO business sectors since its formation in 2007.

Enrique directly handles all investment-related activities including fund-raising, mergers & acquisitions, and exit. Enrique has been intimately involved in the start-up process of all business units, and responsible for working with business unit heads in meeting or exceeding operating targets.

Enrique has had a successful track record in the internet space; having founded a series of internet start-ups that have been acquired by larger U.S. - based firms (match.ph/itzamatch.com) and has taken IPVG from garage to public.

Amongst Enrique’s recently concluded deals under IPVG Corp. include:

  • Strategic partnership with PCCW (NYSE: PCCW) for the Philippine market for BPO and Telecommunications. A US$22 million BPO Venture was inked by IPVG and PCCW in August 2009.
    IPVG signed a major Investment Agreement with UK-based Global Emerging Markets (GEM) group, for IPVG Corp. to raise PhP 300 million for GEM.
  • Acquisition of Influent, top 15 telemarketing / call centre companies in the USA.
  • US$18M fund raising program from institutional investors such as ING, BDO, RCBC Capital, Abacus Securities and Philippine Star.
  • Acquisition of Prolexic Technologies, leader in Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) mitigation services in the world.

Enrique has a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College, attended the program for Masters in Entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management, and completed Business courses from Sophia University in Tokyo. Enrique is considered an expert authority on the Internet and online games space. Prior to IPVG, Enrique was involved in investment banking with a focus on fund-raising and restructuring.

Enrique was chosen as Fellow of the Philipines 21 Young Leaders Initiative Class of 2009 by the Asia Society Philipine Foundation Inc. He was also recognized as the "IT Executive of the Year" by the 1st Cyberpress IT Choice Awards, organized by the IT Journalists Association of the Philippines, last December 2008. He like spearheaded planning the IPVG 2007 Annual Report: Making a Difference, whic was awarded by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines with the Anvil Award of Excellence for PR Tools - Publications last February 2008.

Enrique is Deputy Chairman of IP Foundation (IPF), IPVG's corporate social responsibility arm (CSR) formed in June 2007. Fully accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC). IPF's goals are to provide affordable and accessible healthcare and bridge the digital divide. Enrique's dedication to IPF exemplifies how, with all of IPVG's accomplishments, the company has not forgotten the importance of giving back to the community.
