Bjorn Pardo, CEO of Xend Business Solutions, shared results of their research showing buy and sell behaviors of merchants and their customers at the DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit 2010.
Bjorn highlighted how Facebook is gradually being used by merchants to sell online when the site was primarily designed as a social network and the vast majority going offline to settle payments.
On a follow-up interview, Bjorn discussed the need for merchants and buyers to increase their trust when transacting online. He also discussed plans of introducing a group buying site that will tap into the online merchants community to introduce their products and services to a broader targeted audience.
